Bufala Fest, tomorrow visit of Ettore Prandini to the Bufala Fest Village In the evening, spotlight on agritech and foodtech startups with Giorgio Ventre (Apple Academy) and Federica Tortora (Intesa Sanpaolo)
Naples, September 4, 2025 – The ninth edition of “Bufala Fest – not only mozzarella” continues with enthusiasm and success. The food and wine event, held in Naples in Piazza Municipio, was created and organized by Creaeventi to promote and enhance the uniqueness of the buffalo supply chain and its integration with the fishing industry and the entire agri-food sector.
Please note that access to the Bufala Fest Village is free and open every day until Sunday, September 7, from 12:00 pm to 12:00 am.
Tomorrow, Friday, September 5, 2025, at 5:30 pm, the National President of Coldiretti Ettore Prandini will visit Bufala Fest.
He will be welcomed by the event organizers, taking place until Sunday, September 7, in Piazza Municipio in Naples, led by patron Antonio Rea.
Ettore Prandini will enter the village through the north gate to walk through the various exhibition stands, all dedicated to the buffalo supply chain. The route showcases the organization’s efforts to highlight buffalo meat and Mozzarella di Bufala Campana PDO, the white gold of Campania, in all its forms.
The tour will conclude at Casa Coldiretti. In addition to regional leaders and members, representatives of the buffalo supply chain will participate in a roundtable on the theme: “The single contract for buffalo milk and the protection of Campania breeders.”
Along with regional president Ettore Bellelli and regional director Salvatore Loffreda, participants include: Gabriele Di Vuolo, director of Anasb; Davide Minicozzi, president of the Campania and Molise Breeders Association; producer Luigi Rega. The president of the Mozzarella di Bufala Campana PDO Consortium, Domenico Raimondo, is also invited. A guided tasting by Onaf Naples is scheduled at the end.

Garden of Ideas: Innovation and Knowledge Hand in Hand
Thanks to the support of the cultural association “Giardino delle Idee,” chaired by Daniela Di Prisco, Bufala Fest continues to be about “Knowledge,” featuring, in a dedicated free-access area of the village, various thematic meetings sponsored by the Senate of the Republic, the Chamber of Deputies, the Campania Region, the Municipality of Naples, and the Metropolitan City of Naples.
With the presence of Prof. Giorgio Ventre, Scientific Director of the iOS Developer Academy at the University of Naples “Federico II,” and Federica Tortora, Innovation Specialist at Intesa Sanpaolo, tomorrow’s talk focuses on the synergy between technological expertise and the needs of the agri-food and fisheries sectors, highlighting agritech and foodtech startups as innovation catalysts capable of quickly introducing technological solutions to address sector challenges (e.g., precision agriculture, smart monitoring, IoT on land and at sea, blockchain traceability, e-commerce platforms for local products, waste reduction, etc.). The talk aims to show that the future of these sectors is intrinsically linked to embracing digital innovation, valuing knowledge, and investing in the training of new generations of professionals capable of leading this transformation.
The appointment is tomorrow, Friday, September 5, at 7:00 pm, in the Garden of Ideas at Bufala Fest, with the talk on “Agri-food and Fisheries in Italy: innovation and knowledge driven by startups.” This talk, part of the FEAMPA – Sviluppo Campania and Campania Region project, will explore the key role of innovation and startups in the agri-food and fisheries sectors, focusing on digital technologies and skills enhancement as strategic levers for future competitiveness. Speakers include Giorgio Ventre, Scientific Director of the iOS Developer Academy, University of Naples “Federico II”; Federica Tortora, Innovation Specialist at Intesa Sanpaolo. A pitch from the following innovative startups/SMEs is planned: Evja; Latitudo 40; Limoncello Express; EST – Enhanced Systems & Technologies; Pizza Ammor Experience; Lympha; Mammmà. Moderator: Paola Cacace, Journalist specializing in Startups and Innovation.
Campania towards the 2026 World Buffalo Congress
Also on Friday, at 6:30 pm in the Garden of Ideas, the Mozzarella di Bufala Campana PDO Consortium will present a preview of the 14th edition of the World Buffalo Congress, returning to Campania after almost twenty years. The event will take place from October 28 to 30, 2026, in Sorrento, promoted by the University Federico II of Naples and the Mozzarella di Bufala Campana PDO Consortium. Speakers include Carmen Iemma, Administrator of Mbc Service and Board Member of the Consortium; Angela Salzano, Associate Professor, Department of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Productions, University of Naples “Federico II.” Moderator: Paola Cacace, Journalist.

Arena del Gusto
Visitors can access the Arena del Gusto free of charge, curated by Chef Erny Lombardo, Coordinator of the “From Nature to the Cuisine of the Future” research. Tomorrow’s schedule:
- 7:30 pm: Show Cooking on “Cooking experience: methodologies and cooking times for buffalo entrecôte”, organized in collaboration with Di Cosmo Group and curated by Chef Thilo Sirignano.
- 8:45 pm: Show Cooking on “Cooking Experience: What we know about bluefin tuna, yellowfin and …”, organized in collaboration with FEAMPA Campania and curated by Antica Marineria Gallo.
- 10:00 pm: Show Cooking on “Each region its cheese: multiple cheeses for a gourmet dish”, organized with Coldiretti Campania and Consorzio Altre Terre DOP within the European project LOST EU.

Intervention 222402 launches activities to enhance Campania’s fish products: small pelagics, mussels, and bluefin tuna. The plan strengthens knowledge and the fishing and aquaculture sectors through enterprises, promotes sustainable consumption, emphasizing freshness, seasonality, food safety, and conscious choices, particularly among youth and families, strengthening the connection between territory, gastronomic identity, and the blue economy.
