Bufala Fest, tomorrow at 5:00 pm Bill De Blasio meets the Press
Several events scheduled: inauguration of Casa Coldiretti, Show Cooking in the Taste Arena,Thematic Talks in the Garden of Ideas and many delicacies to taste
Naples, September 2, 2025 – Everything is ready in Naples, in Piazza Municipio, for the ninth edition of Bufala Fest – not just mozzarella, the food and wine festival conceived and organized by Creaeventi with the aim of promoting and enhancing the peculiarities of the buffalo supply chain and its integration with the fishing sector and with the entire agri-food chain.
It all kicks off tomorrow, Wednesday, September 3, 2025, with the opening of the Village to the public, which, let us recall, has free admission and will be open every day until Sunday, September 7, from 12:00 pm to 12:00 am.
The first day of Bufala Fest offers a program full of interesting events:
- At 5:00 pm, in the Garden of Ideas area, meeting of former New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio with the Press.
- At 5:30 pm, Inauguration of Casa Coldiretti, with Regional Director Salvatore Loffreda, Provincial President Valentina Stinga, Regional President Ettore Bellelli, Regional Councillor for Agriculture Nicola Caputo, Councillor for Tourism and Productive Activities of the Municipality of Naples Teresa Armato, Rector of the University of Naples “Federico II” Matteo Lorito and the Managing Director of Bufala Fest Antonio Rea.
- At 7:00 pm, in the Garden of Ideas area, talk on the topic “Knowledge management and Made in Italy: knowledge for creating value in agri-food and fishing enterprises”. Speakers: Hon. Marco Cerreto, Member of the XIII Agriculture Committee of the Chamber of Deputies; Hon. Nicola Caputo, Regional Councillor for Agriculture of Campania; Ettore Bellelli, President of Coldiretti Campania; Domenico Raimondo, President of the Consortium for the Protection of Mozzarella di Bufala Campana PDO; Prof. Giuseppe Campanile, Professor of Animal Science at the University of Naples Federico II; Prof. Paolo Piciocchi, Professor of Economics and Management at the University of Salerno (Unisa); Avv. Show Cooking scheduled in the Taste Arena
Visitors will have free access to the Taste Arena, the area curated by Erny Lombardo, Chef and Coordinator of the research “from nature to the cuisine of the future”. These are tomorrow’s scheduled events:
- 7:30 pm: Show Cooking organized in collaboration with “Le 5 Stagioni” flour by Agugiaro & Figna, an Italian milling excellence, on the theme “The breath of the grain: journey into flour – where it comes from, how it transforms, why it is unique”: an introduction to the milling world, grain varieties, grinding methods, the age-old art of the miller and the beauty of diversity in flours. Speakers: Nicola Demo, Salvatore Busiello, Pietro Vescovini, Nadia De Ruosi.
- 8:45 pm: Show Cooking organized by Ferrarini, one of the most important European companies in the cured meats sector, on the theme “The authentic story of tradition, the cured meats supply chain. Italian Food Philosophy”. Presentation of cured meats by Maestro Ubaldo Franzese. Speech by Claudio Rizzi, Marketing Manager of Ferrarini S.p.A.
- 10:00 pm: Show Cooking organized by La Molisana, historic Italian pasta factory, on the theme “Where pasta comes from, with its unmistakable warm golden-yellow color”. Tasting of Rigacuore Integrale with pesto, Neapolitan papaccella, buffalo salted ricotta, black olive powder, by Chefs Antonio Sorrentino and Arturo Fusco. Speech by Renato Freda, Operational Marketing Manager of La Molisana.

“Bufala Fest – not just mozzarella” is organized in collaboration with the “Giardino delle Idee” Association, with Coldiretti Campania and with the Consortium for the Protection of Mozzarella di Bufala Campana PDO.
The event enjoys the sponsorship of the Campania Region, the Municipality of Naples and the Metropolitan City of Naples and is co-financed as part of the PN FEAMPA 21-27 – OS 2.2 action 4 Intervention 2, the National Program of the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund which addresses three fundamental challenges to accompany the evolution of the Fisheries and Aquaculture sectors by 2030: green transition, digital transition and resilience, along with the intent to foster innovation processes across the board.
FEAMPA Campania
With intervention 222402, the Campania Region has launched a plan of activities for the enhancement and promotion of Campania’s fish productions: small pelagics, mussels, and bluefin tuna. The plan fosters awareness and strengthening of Campania’s fishing and aquaculture sector through its enterprises, encourages the consumption of sustainable fish products in terms of freshness, seasonality, food safety and conscious consumption, particularly among young people and families, strengthening the link between territory, gastronomic identity and blue economy.

The theme chosen for the 2025 edition is “Knowledge – flavor is knowledge” and through a rich and qualified program of meetings and debates, we will discover how, for the buffalo supply chain, as well as for the agri-food and fishing chains, it represents a powerful tool to strengthen consumer trust, foster customer loyalty and promote sustainable production practices, from an environmental, social and economic perspective.

There are over 30 stands where visitors will be able to taste the dishes prepared by the “artists of taste”, the exhibitors of the ninth edition of Bufala Fest, who will offer dishes and recipes with at least one product from the buffalo supply chain. Admission to the Bufala Fest Village is free and it will be open every day, from September 3 to 7, 2025, from 12:30 pm to 12:00 am.
Admission is also free to the show cooking scheduled in the Taste Arena and to the thematic talks scheduled in the Garden of Ideas area.
For all those who want to enjoy the gastronomic delicacies offered by the exhibitors, three types of tickets are available:
Adult Ticket which, at the cost of €18.00, includes:
- 1 meal of your choice: First course, Pizza, Sandwich or 500 g of Mozzarella di Bufala Campana PDO.
- 1 treat of your choice: Single-portion dessert, Ice cream, Graffa, Polacca Aversana, Sfogliatella, Fried cuoppo, Slice of Casatiello, 250 g of Mozzarella di Bufala Campana PDO.
- 1 drink of your choice: Aperol Spritz/Beer/Soft drink/Water.
- Liqueur + Coffee: 1 Guappa liqueur + 1 Kimbo coffee.
Child Ticket which, at the cost of €15.00, includes:
- 1 meal of your choice: First course, Pizza, Sandwich or 500 g of Mozzarella di Bufala Campana PDO.
- 1 treat of your choice: Single-portion dessert, Ice cream, Graffa, Polacca Aversana, Sfogliatella, Fried cuoppo, Slice of Casatiello, 250 g of Mozzarella di Bufala Campana PDO.
- 1 drink of your choice: Soft drink/Water.
Gluten-Free Ticket which, at the cost of €16.00, includes:
- 1 meal of your choice: First course or Pizza.
- 1 treat of your choice: Single-portion dessert or Ice cream.
- 1 drink of your choice: Aperol Spritz, Gluten-free beer, Soft drink, Water.
Skip the Line
In addition, on the official event website, by visiting the link https://www.bufalafest.com/shop/ there is a “Skip the Line” section where it is possible to purchase tickets in advance, allowing the double advantage of avoiding queues at the ticket office and receiving a beautiful event gadget, to be collected at the cash desk.
Park & Go: Integrated Parking Brin + Tram service for €5
To reach easily and conveniently the location of “Bufala Fest – not just mozzarella”, scheduled in Naples from September 3 to 7, 2025, in Piazza Municipio, ANM provides a combined Parking + Tram service, with direct BRIN – Piazza Municipio route, from 12:30 pm to 12:30 am at a total cost of €5 (valid for up to 4 people). Using Park & Go will be simple: the customer must go to the automatic cash desk and purchase the “Bufala Fest 2025” ticket by paying €5 in cash or by credit card. The same ticket allows the use of the Tram round trip (up to 4 people). At the end of the stay, the customer must go with their car to the parking exit and insert the “Bufala Fest 2025” ticket in the machine to open the gate.
