Naples, August 4th, 2025 – Five days of taste, art, and the value of Knowledge await in Naples’ beautiful Piazza Municipio, just a stone’s throw from the city’s main attractions. The event aims to promote and enhance the unique qualities of the buffalo supply chain and its integration with the seafood and broader agri-food industries. This and much more is what defines “Bufala Fest – Not Just Mozzarella,” the food and wine festival now in its ninth edition, taking place from September 3rd to 7th, 2025. The festival offers a wide range of food stands featuring dishes made exclusively with products from the buffalo supply chain (milk, dairy products, cheese, meat, cured meats, etc.).
The theme chosen for the 2025 edition is “Knowledge – Flavour Is Knowledge.” Through a rich schedule of meetings and debates, the event will explore how knowledge is a powerful tool not only for the buffalo supply chain but also for the broader agri-food and seafood industries. It helps to strengthen consumer trust, build customer loyalty, and promote sustainable production practices from an environmental, social, and economic perspective.
Bufala Fest 2025 features a wide program of initiatives for families, including thematic workshops for both adults and children and live cooking shows by top chefs in the “Arena del Gusto.” Every day, talks dedicated to the theme of Knowledge will be held in the “Garden of Ideas” area, featuring professionals and experts from the food sector, as well as prominent representatives from institutions, academia, and banking.
All details of the ninth edition of “Bufala Fest – Not Just Mozzarella” will be presented during the press conference on Monday, September 1st, 2025, at 3:00 PM (boarding from 1:30 PM) at the Port of Naples, Molo Angioino/Maritime Station, aboard MSC World Europa, the flagship of MSC Cruises and a symbol of innovation, and proud partner of the festival.
Recognized as one of the most environmentally advanced ships, MSC World Europa is the first vessel in the World Class fleet, featuring 22 decks, 47 meters in width, 2,626 cabins, and over 40,000 sqm of public space. The ship offers a true world of diverse experiences, going beyond the current boundaries of cruise travel and setting a new standard in design and technology for the cruise industry.
“Bufala Fest – Not Just Mozzarella” is organized by Crea Eventi, in collaboration with the association “Giardino delle Idee”, Coldiretti Campania, and the Consortium for the Protection of Mozzarella di Bufala Campana PDO. The event is held under the patronage of the Senate of the Republic, Chamber of Deputies, Campania Region, and the Municipality and Metropolitan City of Naples.
The festival is co-financed under the PN FEAMPA 21–27 – OS 2.2 Action 4 Intervention 2, the National Program of the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund, which addresses three fundamental challenges to support the evolution of the fishing and aquaculture sectors by 2030: green transition, digital transition, and resilience, while also promoting innovation across the board.
FEAMPA Campania
With intervention 222402, the Campania Region has launched an activity plan to promote and enhance local seafood products such as small pelagics, mussels, and bluefin tuna. The plan aims to raise awareness and strengthen the fishing and aquaculture sectors in Campania through local businesses, promote the consumption of sustainable seafood with attention to freshness, seasonality, food safety, and conscious eating—especially among young people and families—while reinforcing the bond between territory, culinary identity, and the blue economy.
